CLO just dropped their 2025 update — and I had to try out their brand-new AI-generated posing tool. And honestly? This might just change how I approach my workflow. I usually choose and manually tweak my poses in Daz3D but with this option, I might just start utilising CLO’s AI to speed up my workflow.
I tested the feature by taking 3 real-life photos of myself in different poses, uploaded them as reference images, and watched CLO generate those poses directly onto my avatar. No Daz3D back-and-forth. No exporting, tweaking joints, or fussing over anatomy. Just… faster results. (This post is not sponsored by CLO by the way but it was the first time I truly felt excited over a program update in a while and I’m super impressed.)
🎯 What surprised me most?
It’s fast. Like, really fast.
I could instantly see the shape of the pose take form, which means I can now spend less time setting up avatars — and more time designing the actual look.
🖐️ That said, it’s not perfect yet. The fingers in particular looked a bit off and still need manual adjustment. But for general posing? It’s a huge time-saver.
✨ This is especially great for people who want to stay entirely within CLO and avoid hopping between programs just to strike the right pose. There’s also a prompt-based pose generator I haven’t tried yet — but I’m excited to explore that next.
