There is a new kid on the block called Style3d. And after testing it, it does feel similar to Clo3d and Marvelous Designer. They’re currently giving out free trials for 3 months if you guys are interested in testing it out alongside with me.
Now their website is stylist3d.com and the program is called Style3d (they should really make the name the same). They haven’t given a price on the program but I think they will soon. It looks like they are trying to onboard more designers to use their program.
Now I’ve been using Clo3d for the longest time so it has been interesting to see what the differences are. I’ve decided to do a deep dive into it and share my thoughts and comparisons in my latest youtube video. If you’re curious to find out the difference then check out the video below:
Differences between Style3D and Clo3d:
Style3d has a minimalistic user interface - it feels cleaner and less cluttered.
Style3d has less features than Clo3d - it’s missing export formats that can help people turn their digital pieces into physical pieces that are ready for manufacturers (this is something that Clo3d has championed in). There also seems to be less features for actually building the garment.
Style3d has greater range of hairstyles, emotions, scene, avatars, blocks, fabrics in their native resource browser - if you are a fan of customising your avatar well…this one has more that comes with the program compared to Clo3d.
Apparently Style3d doesn’t work for mac users. If you’re a mac user can you confirm this for me please.
I’m sure there’s more differences but as a whole…the programs are very similar. They can achieve the same output in most cases.
If you do try this program out, let me know what you think. I will continue playing about with this program to see it’s potential.
