How I made a Digital Fashion Collection from Scratch🤯
From concept to showcasing it in Paris - new youtube video for ya'll
Hi Fun Gs,
I’ve finally caught a moment to sit down and truly reflect on the digital fashion collection I launched at NFT Paris a few months back.
The entire process of creating this collection took 3 months. This included developing a design concept, building my ideas in 3D, creating physical versions of the designs and then crafting a public showcase.
The most challenging part for me was finding a cohesive look for all the pieces in the collection. I could have opted for the easier route and created individual looks that had no relation to each other. However, this collection was inspired by a story prominent in Chinese folklore (involving four dragons) and created the necessary link between the pieces I was hoping for.
The story roughly goes like this: Four dragons live in the Eastern Sea. They are known as the Long Dragon 長龍, the Yellow Dragon 黃龍, the Black Dragon 黑龍 and the Pearl Dragon 珠龍. The dragons learn that humans are suffering from a long drought and in defiance of the Jade Emperor, they decide to bring rain. As punishment for their disobedience, the Jade Emperor imprisons them beneath four mountains — yet, ever-determined to help humanity, the dragons turn themselves into the four great rivers of China: the Changjiang (Long River), the Huanghe (Yellow River), the Heilongjian (Black River), and the Zhujiang (Pearl River).
In my latest youtube video, I am sharing my entire creative process and hope to inspire you to make your own digital fashion collection from scratch. Here is a breakdown of what to expect:

I think one of the biggest achievements of this collection was being able to fuse the physical and digital realms together. From the image above, you can see how my digital design was repurposed for Sandbox and forged into a physical garment (shout out to Phygital Twin for helping me make the physical piece and Izi for making the Sandbox piece).
Thank you SYKY for organising the event. If you want to see or collect the pieces then head over to SYKY’s website.

Just in case you didn’t know, I also do weekly Twitch streams every Wednesday at 9pm BST.
Make sure to tag along if you are keen on watching my digital fashion creation process live. It’s always a ton of fun and everyone is welcome!
